Before the New Milford Public Library goes quiet for renovations, the Friends of NMPL are hosting one last literary event you won’t want to miss. Their Annual Summer Book Sale—held July 11–13 at New Milford High School—will be the final book sale for at least two years, according to organizers.
Here’s your chance to discover hidden gems and stock up on reading material while supporting your local library:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission; free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—all books half price!
With no sales scheduled until the library reopens post-construction, the Friends’ message is clear and urgent: “Think ahead and STOCK up!!” Whether you’re curating a home library, hunting for children’s books, or simply love the feel of a well-read paperback, this is your last opportunity for years.
Don’t let this final chapter slip away—visit before the long pause begins:
